Product Spotlight: LunA DC Power Supply
There are many ways to get that next step of performance out of your turntable. Most people focus on the obvious - cartridges, tonearms and isolation, but fewer people look at the power supply. When you consider that a record player is built around a precision motor drive, it makes sense that it is one of the most important variables in the chain.
The LunA DC power supply is our answer to that problem. Not only is it designed to elevate the DG turntables (DG-1, DG-1S and DG-X) but it will also work with the Tempo motor drive making it a great upgrade option for the MG-1 and even SG-1/RG-1 models.
Trickle Down Technology from Imperium
LunA's circuit design is derived directly from the linear power section of the Imperium motor drive. Rather than a power supply that merely meets the minimum requirements of your system, LunA gives your motor drive exactly what it needs to perform without compromise: exceptionally stable, ultra-low-noise DC power, delivered instantly and effortlessly.
The output is a regulated 30V DC at up to 4.5A. A toroidal transformer, high-power regulation stages, and a gold-plated PCB work together to deliver power that is quiet and stable, these are conditions that allow the motor drive's microprocessor, DAC, and amplification stages to operate as intended.
Why Power Supplies Matter
Motor drive electronics are sensitive to noise on the supply rail. Instabilities in voltage and interference from a standard wall-wart supply affect the timing accuracy and low-level resolution in ways that are subtle but cumulative. A cleaner power source lets the motor drive do its job without fighting the supply it's running from.
The LunA power supply architecture ensures both DG and Tempo motor drives receive ultra-clean, low-noise energy, minimising unwanted interference, and allowing each record player to perform at its absolute best. Owners who've made the upgrade typically notice a more settled, composed presentation.
Add a Vertere Mains Cable to take it to the Next Step
LunA comes with a standard mains cable, but replacing it is one of the most straightforward ways to extend what the unit can do.
The logic is consistent with how LunA works in the first place. A linear power supply can only condition what it receives from the wall. If the incoming mains feed carries electrical noise that's the starting point LunA has to work with. Adding a Redline or HB mains cable reduces that noise before it even enters the supply, giving LunA cleaner material to work from.
Construction
LunA is built to be sturdy yet elegant, in keeping with the Vertere aesthetic. The casing comprises of precision-machined solid aluminium alloy which offers both electromagnetic shielding and structural rigidity. The unit is available in both black and silver to fit seamlessly in with your system.
Updated faceplates are also available for customers intending to use the LunA with a Tempo. This will bring the Tempo style in line with the LunA visually. These are also available in black and silver to match.
If you own a DG-1, DG-1S, DG-X, or any Vertere turntable running a Tempo motor drive, LunA is the most direct and impactful upgrade available to you right now. It doesn't change your system, it refines what you love about it.
